ReCraft Your Side Table: Eames Wire-Bbase tables - Font Collection

House Industries and Herman Miller are producing a limited edition series of 80 Eames wire-base tables (aka an LTR or Low Table Rod) that include A thru Z, numbers and ornaments from the Eames Century Modern font collection. Each tabletop is hand-printed by House’s own David Dodde in our Grand Rapids, Michigan factory, returned to Herman Miller for assembly then packaged in a special House Industries-designed wooden crate.

Book covers by designer and illustrator Jim Tierney, awesome work!

Interesting to see on his site and blog all the covers that don’t get accepted, its one of the great shames of book designs that often the more interesting covers never make it onto the shelves. Some of the above are rejected covers, and are nicer than the ones that made it.

Think Jim is best known for his lovely Jules Verne covers.

Amazing typographic graphic design by American designer Luke Williams. Really liking his work, big emphasis on typography and hand lettering, which I really admire. Something I don’t have the skills to do in my own work unfortunately!

Especially loving the ‘Design takes root’ image, great idea and really well done. Looks awesome!
